Kim Cattrall Returns For Second Season Of Producing Parker
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: (TORONTO – July 29, 2010) – Breakthrough Films & Television announced today that Kim Cattrall has signed on as the voice of “Dee” for the second season of Producing Parker. In addition, the animated sitcom will also feature the voice talents of Jason Priestley (Call Me Fitz, Beverly Hills 90210) as Parker’s high school bully, Catherine O’Hara (Best in Show) as Parker’s cumbersome Mother, and Mark McKinney (Kids in the Hall) as Parker’s new boss.
Production on the new season has begun and broadcast is scheduled for February 2011 on TVtropolis in Canada.
The quirky crew of “The Dee Show” is back at it again as Producing Parker returns for a second season of savvy daytime TV satire. This season, host Dee lands the show in jail, goes to rehab, and finally climbs the ratings charts to number one. While producer Parker, has her challenges managing Dee, her own love life proves the far greater challenge as she continues to fall for all the wrong guys: a radical environmentalist, her high school bully, a ghost, and, as always, dreamy network head, Blake Bellamy. Meanwhile, segment producer Simon, has finally started bringing his A-Game to work: plotting to put Parker on the show, making first contact with aliens and even applying for a job at Hard News Report. Season Two of Producing Parker takes this high-stakes, irreverent animated comedy to the next hilarious level.
Returning voice cast members include Kristen Booth (MVP, Young People F***ing) as “Parker Kovak”; Aaron Abrams (Slings And Arrows, Amelia, Flash of Genius) as “Simon Nolan,” the Dee Show’s resident copywriter; and Peter Keleghan (Cheaper by the Dozen 2, Murdoch Mysteries) as “Blake Bellamy,” the charismatic station owner.
Kim Cattrall comments, “I'm so happy to be back for our second season on Producing Parker that includes a guest appearance from my favorite comedic actress, Catherine O’Hara."
Producer Christin Simms says, "We're all very excited about the amazing voice talent we've attracted to the series this season. Having accomplished actors like Jason Priestley, Catherine O'Hara, Mark McKinney and, of course, Kim Cattrall on the show is a real compliment to the absurd yet heartwarming stories we tell on Producing Parker."

ReplyDeleteMe too! There has still been no official word about it's renewal or cancellation, it took season 2 over a year to get revved up again, so hopefully this is the case again with a season 3 for Parker!
