So long Buster Jones...

We lost another voice Legend from our childhoods today, the classy Buster Jones.
Kids of the 80's will probably know him best as Blaster from "The Transformers", Doc from "GI Joe: A Real American Hero", & Winston from "The Real Ghost Busters."  Three characters that are fan favorites for their unique qualities at the time, Blaster being the opposition to the menacing Soundwave, Doc being GI Joe's 1st Medic (and another African American represented early in the ranks.), & Winston for being the only guy crazy enough to sign up for the Ghostbusters job after the 3 originals (even in animated form lol.)
My brother Randy (aka Powered Convoy) & I had the pleasure of meeting Buster in 2012 at Botcon in Dallas Texas. What was great about meeting him was he seemed like a very kind & genuine gentlemen.  He took the time to talk to us, even if he really didn't seem to understand why his voice work was important to so many of us fans.  He helped to bring those characters to life, and gave them all a cool vibe that you will always associate them with.  You could really tell (when I had him autograph my 25th Anniversary "Doc" figure), that he gravitated to that character (maybe more so than Blaster) because I think it was more relatable to him, (an African American in the Military), but appreciated the fans coming out for any of his characters none the less. He seemed to really like that Doc figure as he asked me where I got it (Doc was a mail away at the time) and Randy even offered to give him his (if he had brought it lol).  Later on It was great when he did Blaster's voice at the Transformers voice over panel, because as surprised as he seemed (at times) to all the commotion of the convention and why people were happy to see him, he also seemed to genuinely enjoy telling old stories of his work with his fellow studio friends & slid right into that Blaster voice like a smooth DJ.  ;-)
Cheers.

Legend Of Korra comes back with the final season online Oct 3rd!!

Book 3 probably had the best finale since the original Avatar: The Last Airbender's final episode imho... but it has not been the easiest of paths to get to this greatness...
LOK fans felt they had been pushed around with Nick's quick change of heart to put Korra Book 3 online mid-season after a luke warm TV start up, but now they gave us a gift, with a followup BD/DVD release of Book 3 on Dec 2nd... and even better, Book 4 (the new season) premiering online Oct 3rd!  We are going in hot!!
