Now that the series finale of "The Legend Of Korra" has aired and this wonderful show has come to a close, I highly recommend it in it's entirety to anyone with the highest of praise.  Completely satisfying, particularly groundbreaking, with a top notch story and action sequencing.  Loaded with quality hand drawn animation & writing.  This show was not only one of the best animated tv series of all time, but also one of the best TV series of all time.  My friends & family thoroughly enjoyed every episode.  I don't know if we will ever get an animated series again that tackles what this show did in just 4 seasons... it's critically acclaimed with a very passionate fan base all for good reasons.  I haven’t stopped thinking about it for days, & it deserves your attention & time on BD.  A fond farewell to the "Avatar" universe and thank you Bryke, Studio Mir, and everyone who was involved... for everything!

STARCOM: The Complete Series coming to DVD!!

Mill Creek does it agan!  Starcom The Complete Series is finally coming to DVD!  This show had beautiful animation based on an inventive toy line, and it will be available on 2/17/15 with a $9.98 SRP!  Made in 1987, I remember it for it's Sunday morning airings in the 90's!

Saturday Morning Cartoons RIP 10/4/14

 This past Saturday was the first Saturday in over 50 years without Saturday Morning Cartoons in the USA.  The CW was the last network to honor this tradition with "The Vortexx" animated programming morning slot. 
With educational laws changing, switching to live action kids programming, and infomercials, animated Saturday Mornings have been becoming less profitable since the 1990's.

But all hope is not lost...

In trade off, we actually have cartoon stations now, as well as more animated home media options than ever... The transition has been a gradual one, with benefits, as we have other options to enjoy our beloved cartoons because they are available at anytime for anyone.

Still...it's the end of an era... and one I am sad to hear, as Saturday Morning cartoons meant so much to so many growing up, it was a special time for kids, every week, to leave school behind for the weekend and enjoy a adventure with their favorite animated friends from 6am-12pm every Saturday.

Do yourself I favor this Saturday if you loved the days of yore, grab a sugary cereal, break out your animated dvds/bds/streams, and pay tribute to a beloved time for many children for many decade in US history.
