Lord Of The Rings Animated Classic coming to remastered BD on 4.6.10!!

(Fire & Ice) director Ralph Bakshi's animated classic "Lord Of The Rings ('78)" is coming to BD & DVD on 4.6.10. Newly remastered picture & 5.1 dolby sound, this is sure to be the best this classic animated tale has ever been presented! Of note is the extensive use of "rotoscope" with animation done by "Rankin Bass"(Thundercats), as well as the screenplay was done by Peter S. Beagle of "The Last Unicorn" fame, & director Tim Burton was a cel painter!!

SHOUT FACTORY DTC bringing you more classic 80's animation!!

Many know Shout Factory as the company that has brought the recent rereleases of the 80's mega-hits Transformers (as well as for the 1st time) the complete GI Joe: A Real American Hero series, on DVD to peoples homes everywhere in 2009 in remastered quality after a long sleep.
But did you know that Shout's 1st efforts of 80's classic animated TV shows started some years ago?.... & it was with a couple of animated shows that stalled due to the hardcore fanbase only buying them, & retailers saying "no more" to further releases ...Well Shout Factory is hitting back in 2010 with a new "direct to consumer" line of dvd sets sold online directly from the company TO YOU.
